The Grindstones C Small stencil by Andrew Borloz was inspired by his visits to many historic sites in Mid-Atlantic and New England where the grain mills are often situated on the riverbanks. During those visits, he saw various patterns of grindstones in these sites, as well as re-purposed grindstones (For example, the defunct Wheatsworth Mill in Hamburg, NJ used their grindstones as fences for their Gingerbread House, which was once a big tourist attraction.)
Now you can take these repeating circle designs and use them to create spectacular backgrounds in your art journals or mixed media artwork, or use them for printmaking on fabric and other surfaces. The options are endless!
